A sound i thought i could hear in my mind and i thought i might be able to find, but decided to go out and create this one. We went out and literally hit metal rulers against a metal staircase handrail, and then went into audacity and reverberated a copy underneath the sound, and tweaked it a bit to add the lasting effect.

This is a recording of buttsbury wash, which goes across a small road in essex, uk. At about 1:15 a car can be heard going through the water. I have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 300hz) and i have altered it with the level tool. Then, i have added a pluck ( pitch 114) and reversed it. I have created a “white noise” which i have stuck after the pluck. Finally, i have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 1000hz). I have put it at the end and altered it with the level tool. I used audacity.
