This is audio of just about the entire ride of the powell-hyde cable car line in san francisco, recorded on 08/26/2015. Late evening trip through the city. I recorded this while i was on the steps on the right side of the car, holding the recorder in one hand and my life in the other! tourists talking, the operator ringing the bells and using the brake levers, etc. Recorded with a tascam dr-70d, built in mics. American signal t-128 and federal signal 2001 siren sounding in attack mode. These sirens are normally sounded in a steady tone for tornado warnings, but this rising and falling tone would be used for civil emergencies like an air raid or other attack on the city.

Full siren test (with a couple of gaps) including the announcement for each siren and two separate sirens. There's a perfect delay as the sound bounces around the city creating an almost digital sounding delay effect for the announcement and reverb for the sirens.
