The first just the sounds of the door, with both the thud of closing the door and some creaks as it opens again, and the second with the addition of a rhythm made with wooden spoons. A wooden door with rusty hinges being opened and closed very, very slowly (and then more quickly later in the recording). Mic is very close to the creaking hinge and the sound is extremely clean and direct.

One night while recording vocals it was really windy outside, and the wind slammed one of the doors in my house shot. The sound got caught by the mic and i liked it enough to use it as a snare sample for that same song i was recording vocals too. Hope you'll find a creative use for it!.

I noticed one night my broken metallic glass screen door was making quite a ruckus in the wind. I grabbed my zoom h1 and a roll of duct tape and taped it to the interior portion of the door. I proceeded to record the semi-contact-mic results here in at 96 khz / 24 bit. Plenty of good stuff to pull from here, imo. Hope you can get some use out of this one. Enjoy.

For some reason, my audio didn't transfer on a video that i was editing, so i had to add it manually. I figured someone could use this sound of me opening my creaky front door, so i cleaned it up in audacity. No need to credit me; have fun creating!.

The source of the sound originates in an apartment. I recorded the creaking noise of the front door with a zoom h4n. I didn't change effect as i wanted it to be used naturally as background noise and give special atmosphere, like in alfred hitchcock movies. I remarked this was a very clear, resourceful sound when going out from home: i heard it and suddenly thought that would be a good sound for the freesounders's community.
