All my sounds were created for an upcoming motioncomic i created called: madagascar: alex's story. . . I did not create these from scratch, but instead, remixed stock sounds of different roars, growls, breathing, etc. And fiddled with their settings until i got a sound i felt satisfied with. I thought the best thing to do with them after the project was done is to share. So, no need to give me credit. Ah gee. . . . . These are random samples i recorder and am such a lazy i don't want to sort them out. . . . 1 - could be my modified boss ds-1 distortion pedal (i call it the violent ds - 1) (w/ 3 extra capacitors and a transistor or two) going throught it is a boss dr 550. 2 - a yamaha portasound pss - 270 which i cut the fm synth traces too via switch (that was a pain in my ass also!). 3 - a very scary leap frog kids toy named professor quigly. 4 - a speak and math. . . . . . . 5 - sum yamaha thingy i don't know i just call it my raver machine. . . . . . It looks kinda like a cool t. V.

A recording i took on 04/26/2014, presumably on cassette tape, of an art installation in madison, wi titled "asylum," created by marina kelly and megan katz. To my knowledge, this is the only audio recording that exists of the soundscape, though if asked by kelly or katz i will respectfully take it down. "asylum" was a temporary art installation located in the tenney park passageway under east johnson street. From what i saw when i was there, it was just a speaker or two playing some ambient sounds. These sounds could have been generated based on environmental input, but due to lack of evidence i can't conclusively say that was indeed the case. I was in a bad mood on this recording so apologies for the negativity/language.

I walk up one morning and these sand hill cranes were calling in my front yard. I used my zoom h6 and a xy mic.

June thunder storm recorded from my back door, i used a beat up flip camera isolated the sound in movie maker and cleaned it up as best as i could in audacity.

I threw small stones upon the surface of a small pond (minneapolis, mn, dec 2011) that had recently frozen over. Recorded with a zoom h2, opposite of where i stood.

This is a sound effect i made by messing around in garage band. It started out with a sound-effect of me typing, but i played around with the fx and now we have something strange.

This one i made myself with some visual basic programming. I used it as an alarm and ringtone on my smart phone. You may want to trim the silent tail.

I played a bit with the filters and oscillators of a free vst synth. This sound is useful for cutting and applying different effects over it. I think that it can be used standalone as well.

This was recorded as dialogue from a character while narrating a story. I was honestly very impressed by it, so i saved it to use for stock.

As i was trying to create a “reggae bass” i made this loop. In my ears it sounds like reggae… but i’m no expert. Not at all. What do you say? does it sound like reggae?.

This is a sound file of a door opening which has a squeak to it. It is done multiple times. I used it for a trap door in the film i made.
