A very re-samplable bit of digital glitching made using aphex twin's samplebrain app with some of my own drum samples as the input. Feel free to use for anything (but i'd love to see what you make with it!).

This was created with sampled percussion from the keyboard in adobe audition cs6 and recorded via logitech webcam mic. The sound was further de-noised and cleaned in audition's spectral view and effects applied to make the arrangement work. Hopefully this will prove useful to some.

A real series of gastrointestinal sounds - very funny. Robots converse about the sounds and one of the robots make a funny comment about another one. Contains real human laughter and a real human scream placed in a specific way in the sound wave to add a funny effect.

Simple drone sound, created by using ableton's operator plus some granulator and effects. It can be used as a subtle background noise to make your scene tenser or etc. You get itexperiment with volume automation.

Formatted for the make noise morphagene. This reel consists of a spliced breakbeat. The final splice is the whole loop without any splices. Trashy drum kit, recorded by me, re-sequenced with elektron octatrack and played through a crappy speaker.

A very basic click. I'm not even intirely sure where i sampled it from. The only potentially problematic thing i could see is the slightly off left/right balance. Makes a cool noise when you loop it too.

A large pane of mirror glass sitting across two sawhorses is drummed on, making a surprisingly big resonant drum sound. At about 0:18 the inevitable happens: several extra smashing and shattering sounds are audible after the initial break.

This is an acid loop i made with free vsti called rubber duck. I run it through various lfo type filters. I've tweaked it to make it a perfectly looping one shot hit at 112 bpm.

Recorded on my iphone for a project, me hitting a shelf with trinkets on it that makes a loud thud and a rattle. Good for body impacts on furniture. Hard hit, good body and nice light rattle after.

A pencil writing on some cardboard. Makes a good scratching sound for something like note taking or plain writing. It's semi-erratic with a couple pauses in between and i took different distances from the mic and angles with the pencil to try and get different sounds.

Canon 8-2 super 8 camera at 24fps. Recorded with a zoom h1 field recorder (internal microphones). No effects applied. I use it in combination with various film grain software to make the experience more believable.

I mixed, slowed down, and sped up different small chunks of an audio file of a glitch noise, making something that sounds like a receipt printer at costco/walmart/freshco/any other big store chain.

Tapping large water bottles (metal) against a leg to hear them make melodic sounds. You can hear the slosh of the water inside and the resonant tone. Noise reduction and amplification were applied to this sound using reaper.

These are a series of gunshots that are supposed to resemble a laser sort of weapon, like an alien weapon. To make this, i used a filter that has a vocoder, polyvox, and talkbox, with distortion added. The initial sound i'm making is a chirping with my mouth and the filter does the rest. I think this works well on its own but it should work well mixed in with another sound effect if you choose to mix it. There is no reverb added or environment effects so its very flexible. Okay, i actually did make a rather horrorific sound, despite my slight dislike for the horror genre. I know. I contradict myself. Anyhow, this is actually the sound of me going up an escalator while i was at a conference. I came home later and didn't know what to do with the sound, so, out of boredom, i made this. By the way, that weird shriek at 1'46" was actually a young child who was running around somewhere in the building. This sound could be used for *contradiction!!* an atmosphere for a horror game or something like that. But don't try to make me play it, because i won't! okay, well maybe. Mangled with ableton live.

Composite several recordings of large coins (silver dollars, ike dollars, 50 cent pieces) dropped on a carpet from about 25cm. The aim was to make it sound like lots of money was falling out of a secret compartment - much like a slot machine.

I generated a square tone with audacity and applied a few effects to it, mostly wahwah i think, and faded in and out. It's the same as "machine. Wav" that i've uploaded, but louder. If you repeat it, it makes a very believable sound for an old video game machine.

The sounds from an old elevator. First going up, the door opening, and it returning back down before the door opens again. This elevator is fairly old (from the 1960s) and is fairly dilapidated. Scary to ride, especially after you hear the sounds it makes.

Basically i recorded a fidget spinner spinning into my windshield of my condenser microphone, it made a cool low end sound. I made some post processing at the end just to make it sound more cohesive. The sound is tuned to g but the pitch slightly bends.

I like rolling my tobacco, so i thought "why not use my roller to make a sound effect?". I gently opened the lid infront of the mic. This was recorded at the open window institute sound booth in centurion, south africa.
