An earthenware (ceramic) vessel submerged under water. The vase has been fitted with a contact microphone and the sound is produced by air escaping its pours as they are filled with water. The item is made from the clay sourced from the spring.

Marble falling on a tile: in this sound a marble falls to the ground creating a very high pitch sound when the marble hits the ground multiple times in short succession. Walking on a trail in a deep midwestern forest. The surface is a nice crunchy local creek-rock. Recorded in late july of 2015 using the marantz pmd-661 (*with extra-special quiet amplifiers by roade brothers) and the omnidiectional beyerdynamic me58 dynamic microphone.
A skinny balloon being pumped up using a small pump (similar to a bicycle pump). The sound is wheezy, squeaky, and there are some mechanical clicking components due to the mechanism of the pump. Recorder: olympus digital voice recorder. Microphone: sony ecm-ms907.
