01. 03. 17: happy new year, everyone. This is one of a couple of mouth swooshes i made for a papier-mâché style animation. Sweep up, small break, then a mouthy impact. Recorded with iphone 6s, edited and processed in logic.

This is a break i made to layer over my breaks at 102bpm. It was created in free tracker jeskola buzz using vst instrument, alchemy, multiloop2-move knob 1. This is not a looped sample from the instrument, i created it using the tracker, then applied an ohm boys delay effect. Sounds great over the breaks at 102. Enjoy :).

This sample is a vocal "arh" sound, pitch d. It was created by singing "arh" into a dynamic microphone, with pop-screen and recording, through an e-mu 1820, into cakewalk music creator pro version 2. The sample was then roughly trimmed. The sample was then imported into wavelabs lite where the dc off set was removed, the sample was normalized and the trimmed exactly. This sample was then imported back into cakewalk music creator pro version 2, compressed slightly, then duplicated 5 times. Each of these duplications was given slightly different attack and release times, different pan and different eqs. 1 sample was given a multiple voice chorus\flanger effect and another auto-pan. A 6 sample was then added before the main sample, with reduced gain. This sample has increasing volume envelope and "moving" pan envelope. All 6 samples where sent to the same master out where "chapel" style re-verb and compression was applied. The mix down from this was then imported into wavelad lite, dc off set removed and normalized.

A remix of freesound 252834 and 17804. I took 252834 and course quantized it in goldwave, then lowered the volume and mixed it with some of the static from 17804. Then i played the mix through my computer speakers and recorded it with my webcam to immitate the cheesy fake apparatus used by the ghost hunters tv series and the like.

This is a sound i made in audacity by recording myself going "vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. . . " on two separate tracks and slowing them both down by 95% and adding a little bit of reverb. I think it's sort of convincing but i think it would be better if the pulse of the samples being copied a bunch of times kind of gives it away. Feel free to do what you like with it.

Made a quick drum loops designed to have guitar, vocals, any mid range instrument or sound source sit nicely with it. I accidentally sneezed while testing audio levels but it happened to be self-contained with the right volume for an isolated sound effect! recorded on my new blue yeti nano with noise reduction applied. There is a new freeware program called splitte. Aithat will take any piece of music and extract parts from it. It is highly inaccurate when trying to really accuratelysurgically remove, say, bass, drums, guitar or vocal tracks,but it creates some really trippy artifacts. All of these sample were from a live jazz tune that we were playing. The results of splitter splitting the tracks were really weird and ethereal. I have no affiliation with splitter. A friend sent me an audio file that wasn't supported by windows media player. When opened in audacity, this is what it came out to be (but it was way louder. ) once i converted the original file into mp3, i was able to get the actual file, but i wanted to save this broken one too. Large metal sheet and ornamental metalwork gate to village cemetery opened and shut, creaking on it's hinges. Recorded around midnight to avoid bird and insect calls - despite this precaution there were birds calling in the distance. On arrival i saw there was a house adjacent to cemetery. Fearful of waking the non-dead i didnt hang around for more than two bad takes.
