A recording of sounds using an air duster. Recorded using my h4n zoom recorder, i captured the sprays of wind, the sizzle sound after the duster in used, the tapping of the metal container, and the flicking rumble of the straw. Sound is in stereo, and is in. Wav format.
Gorgeous sound of two vintage british diesel locos pulling a 13 carriage train. Recorded using the built in mics on a cannon powershot g15 then processed to try and remove as much wind noise using izotope ozone in m/s mode, (much of the wind noise was in the side channel).
This is a strong wind recorded in whalley range manchester with a calrec soundfield microphone using neve preamps into apogee converters. Encoded to stereo using the soundfield plugin.
For the 2021 production of christmas carol i wanted to add some special effects. To create a ghostly voices saying ebenezer scrooge i recorded 10 different cast members, then i used audacity to add a little reverb and filter the voice using the frequency transform of a recording of wind. Then i played the voices while the wind was blowing.
Sound made by a small electric motor cranking and reversing a lever (on an infant's glider/sleeper). This is one repeat of the sound taken from a larger sound i've provided in this archive (which has repeated takes). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.
Recorded in czech republic using iphone 7 plus mic at 320kbps (which i found had a more rounded sound than more advanced mics i used for the same sound). Aeolian wind harp sounding recorded with a contact microphone, in elqui valley of chile (exactly in the "reservoir puclaro”, 70km from la serena). This wind sculpture is facing the wind and 4 cords are vibrating. You can find more info about the sculpture on http://www. Sonidocreativo. Cl/?p=624. The project is called "imagenes eolicas del elqui" and has been done by mario arenas avarrete in la serena, january 2006. The contact microphone is stuck behind the second piece of metal. Recorded on the shortest day of the year at the edge of a lake where the wind was gusting from the south at 15 to 20 miles an hour. At the beginning you hear some geese in the distance. This recording was made using my sony pcm m-10 with it's internal microphones set to level 5 input volume. I actually placed the recorder, carefully, in a crook of some branches in an oak tree about 5 feet above the ground---very near a big clump of dead and brown oak leaves. . . . This gives you that wonderful sound of the wind hissing through the leaves.

Field recording of fort point area, near boston's south station, taken july 2004. Recording includes ride down to street level in industrial elevator, followed assorted traffic and city background noise, with seagulls audible in the background. There is some quite bad wind noise on the mic audible at points.
Recorded 5/20/11 at 10:43am on a bright sunny day in washington. Many crows were flying overhead and i recorded them on my ipod. The sounds in the background is not wind (although it sounds like it), but are cars slowly driving by about 100 yards away. The crows were directly above.
