A heartbeat sound i created. Fairly consistent through most of it, and then speeds up into heart-attack mode about 30 seconds from the end. To make it, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a pattern of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. I then eq'd them to be less distinct and drum-like, added tape saturation to increase the low-end thumping, a small chorus effect and some compression to get rid of the drums' attack. . . Basically just over-processed the hell out of it. Then i used a plugin called wok m-st to get a fake hard-panned stereo effect. My goal was to make it sound like your heartbeat sounds in your ears when you've been running too fast for too long. I think it sounds cool.

Noise removal'd in audacity and recorded with a cheap staples business depo brand mic. I was doing voice acting for a game i'm making http://www. Albinoblacksheep. No synths were harmed in the making of this cacophany.

A kick drum produced for moody trance project. Production process: sound generated from kick synth; signal splitted in two bands; high band signal filtered, distorted and panned (this gives nice roughness and makes kick sound pretty good with center panned bassline); low band signal equalized with some re-verb; both bands mixed back together.

We watched the stephen hawking show on pbs last night as they tried to filter out voices from space and i thought this would make a good alien voice trying to contact us. I recorded this sound on a beach in normandy. It is a close recording of waves crashing on the sand. You can hear the different sounds produced by the water, and the ambiant atmosphere of an oceanside. After recording this sound, i improved it on audacity. I reduced the noice and the wind, then i add a fade in and fade out to make it smoother. This sound is very relaxing and satisfying.

A soprano pipistrelle recorded in the vicinity of maynooth university in september 2019. Originally recorded at 192 khz, this rate has been changed to 16 khz to make the sounds audible. In this extract the bat can be heard echolocating which culminates in a 'feeding buzz' as the bat catches prey. Recorded on a sony pcm d100 using knowles ultrasonic mics. Noise reduction has been applied.

This is a sound effect that i manifested from the dream state of maine in the united states kingdom. My soul sister smiled on me like an apparition and i awoke to the words she spoke which as presented here are "hows everybody doing?". I took a clip from the audio i recorded of wax paper crinkling, cut a segment from it, played it backwards, put it on loop, layered it with the original, and this is what i got. There is an somewhat syncopated pattern to the sounds, but the audio is cut off before it makes a full cycle. Enjoy.

I was looking around for dialog audio similar to those in rpg games or platformers like "shantae", but was out of luck. Moog grandmother, plucky sequence in am, 90bpm. You could make loops out of it, as the whole sequence was digitally clocked. Some interesting play with noise, filter, pulse width and the internal spring reverb of the synthesizer. Recorded through an ssl superanalogue preamplifier at line level, uad-2 apollo 8 adc. No eq, no compression. Mono file, 24 bit 48 khz.

This is a smoothly rising shepard tone that i created using adobe audition 3's tone generator. I generated the tone as sine waves in 7 different octaves and mixed the results together. The period of repetition is 10 seconds. (this is a second version in which i removed the phase variance, making the sound monophonic for all practical purposes).
